Part 1 of 3 in the Brady EMT-Basic Video Series, video from 1995.
Interesting, according to my protocols in BC, Canada, vitals come during the secondary assessment. In this situation the pt is very much RTC, vitals with the secondary assessment and history would be done on route to the hospital.
That is one scary looking ambulance.
why are they wearing fire turnout jackets?
This Helped Me Alot!
-EMT-B Training
Does watching this give me free CEU’s?
I remember this in my EMT-B course in ’02
Blood present in the ear canal and dilated pupils. Patient was ejected from vehicle concluding a possibility of brain force trauma. This video missed that even though its a scene size-up to load and transport. If there is this possibility of brain force trauma, then the patient needs to be transported rapidly to the closest trauma center.
Thanks for posting
“Do not delay transportation to the hospital any longer than absolutely necessary.” Umm okay, thanks for stating the EXTREMELY obvious. “So Joe, how about we sit out here for a couple hours and play some cards while the patient slowly dies?” “Okay sure, that sounds good to me – nickel a point.”
Awesome!
Where can i purchase this series from…i would love to have them myself
